A day spent fishing live bait on light tackle or trolling
small plugs, soaking in the lush tropical scenery, will certainly leave an
impression and provide you yet another story to tell.
For those who do not know what Panama has to offer, hold on tight! Panama
actually means "abundance of fish". What an understatement that is. In
fact, you will leave here thinking that this must be where the "fish
story" originated. Hundreds (200+) of world records have been broken in
these waters, off the Pacific coast, which are absolutely teeming with
life.
Offshore, in the rich, deep blue waters near the Hannibal Bank and Isla Montuosa, you will
find black marlin, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, blue marlin,
blackfin tuna,
dorado, sailfish and swordfish feasting on the bait that congregate and
thrive on these banks. The best part? You never know what is next and it
very well may be a world record! It is not uncommon to come home battered
and bruised from fighting fish. Fishing is spectacular year-round here,
but Dec-May is deemed to be the "best", as the largest of the migratory
species are here in numbers, and skies are crystal-clear blue.
The operation is owned and
operated by experienced fishermen. Having fished all over the world and
despite successful careers they have ultimately settled here, in Panama.
